why is your website called "one broken teapot"?
I have a really hard time getting rid of sentimental items.
This is a picture of a broken teapot I got--along with a whole bunch of other things--when my beloved Granny died. It was broken, we never used it, and (sorry, Granny!) I think it's kind of ugly.
Still, I was at the beginning of this whole minimalist thing, and it was really hard to let go. Now, I think of that teapot as the catalyst for a whole new way of living without overwhelm. Oddly, the act of getting rid of it made it way more meaningful than holding on to it ever did.
