The other night, I was up too late ordering holiday cards online. The later it got, the more bogged down I got in dithering over card designs and wording--and the more I slid into the deep trough of Must Make The Perfect Card.
Eventually, my husband and I climbed back into a more reasonable brainspace and called it done, and I clicked to check out. Last year was the first year ever that I had ordered them in time to not have to pay for extra-fast shipping.
This year, extra shipping was paid.
If you're behind where you were last year in your holiday doings because you have family stuff going on or because you have a big work project or because you're reading the news obsessively, know this: We are all doing the best we can. Including you.
I love you, and you are not alone.
